Abstract

This paper aims at studying the poem "Aqueloutro", by Mário de Sá-Carneiro, under the perspective of the theme of the double. There will be analyzed the deixis as a means of expression which shows the drama of the split being. It will be examined how Sá-Carneiro organizes and gives priority to the deictic as a possibility of construction of the text aiming at the process of construction of the subjectivity towards the Other and which meanings the conflict originated by the enunciative encounter between these two instances of discourse are engendered.
